Stasera a Taste of Rome ho avuto l’onore e il piacere di incontrare Stefano Callegaro vincitore dell’ultima edizione di Master Chef. Se fin dall’inizio della gara ho parteggiato per lui riconoscendone talento e passione, stasera tutte le mie sensazioni sono state confermate. E’ una grande persona, un appassionato di cucina che quando ne parla o spiega tecniche e ricette incanta e che la sua vittoria se la sia guadagnata e difesa dimostra come la gente malevola o invidiosa sui professionisti e sulla passione abbia ben poco potere.

Ma perché in un blog di ikebana parlare di Taste of Rome o di Callegaro? Per due motivi. Il primo lo vedete nelle foto sottostanti.

Ebbene sì il maestro Lucio Farinelli ha avuto l’onore e l’onere di fargli da assistente durante la preparazione di un piatto davvero particolare per sapore ed abbinamento.

Ma la ragione principale di questo post è che vedendogli preparare…

KJ and I found Henk’s web site a few years ago and contacted him about a small bronze. Unfortunately back then the only form of payment he accepted was a bank wire transfer and for small items the cost of the transfer makes the transaction undo-able from our perspective.  The great news is that Henk is now accepting PayPal which makes transaction seamless and easy.

So we knew this would really open up Henk’s business in the US and so we asked his permission to post some of the photos of his works and he agreed.  We have purchased five of his bronzes to be used in our suiseki displays and we are very pleased with the quality of his work and therefore highly recommend him and his art work.

15 ország nevezett a versenyre idén. Az alapanyag hasonlóan a korábbi évekhez előnevelt koreai boróka volt,egyforma minőségben.
Sajnos ebben az évben csak 3 óra volt az alakításra a korábbi 4 óra helyett. Magyarországon ismét 4 óra fog rendelkezésre állni a résztvevők számára.
Többen 4 órás alakításra készültek és gyakoroltak, ezért aztán voltak nem teljesen befejezett növények is.

Majd következett a fák értékelés, ahol a nemzetközi bírok alaposan szemügyre vettek a növényeket.
Idén sem volt egyszerű a döntés, mert több nagyon színvonalas munka készült, beleértve a magyar résztvevő, Schmidt Gergő munkáját is.
